The IBRO-LARC Advanced School of Neuroscience "Neurotransmitter Receptors: Signaling and Stimulus Transcription Coupling", held in Mexico City, was co-directed by Arturo Ortega and José Aguilera.
The local Organizing Committee selected 28 graduate students from among more than 130 applicants. Excellent students from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Peru, Venezuela, Spain, and Uruguay attended and more than 40 lecturers participated.
Rio de Janeiro and Búzios The IVth IBRO School of Neuroscience in Brazil was held as a satellite event to the I Congress IBRO/LARC of Neuroscience for Latin America, the Carribean and Iberian Peninsula and was meant to include the meeting within its activities.
